Paul draws from 25 years experience in investment banking, 15 at MD level during which he held senior leadership roles at Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Lehman Brothers and Nomura. Within these organisations he led many transformational initiatives, including: Redesign of operating model and front-to-back processes to enhance control environments; Balance sheet control review and remediation; Build out of processing utilities; Migration, alignment and stable management of offshore centres; Redesign of service and control model for multi-asset electronic trading; Build out and commercialisation of infrastructure to provide secure third-party derivatives servicing, and Cash Prime Brokerage and Clearing platform build out from scratch.

Trusted as an advisor by clients at International Banks, the Buy-side and FMIs, he has successfully delivered numerous projects sponsored at senior levels, including: Readiness for Dodd-Frank Act and EMIR; Prime Brokerage Controls effectiveness; Front-to-Back Risk and Controls effectiveness; BCBS 239 and Liquidity Risk data lineage and reporting; Balance sheet optimisation platform viability due diligence, and; FMI Post-Trade Strategy.

Since 2015 Paul has advised and collaborated with Fintech startups, with specific focus on the incubation of innovative GRC tools and solutions which help organisations bring greater transparency, control and adaptability. He deploys these tools to bring smart, new capabilities to the team's review and advisory services.
Phil is a specialist in the use of agile methodologies for rapid, high-quality software development with extensive knowledge of emerging technologies. He has over 12 years experience in software development, primarily within investment banking.

At JP Morgan, he was responsible for all deliverables across EMEA and North America for global strategic Risk & P&L reporting.
Later, within Compliance at Goldman Sachs, he led the development team in implementing and maintaining surveillance monitoring software across the Equities business.

Recently he has advised on Liquidity Risk data lineage and reporting and applied smart technologies to various challenges under MiFID II. He also has advised on and led the implementation of agile projects in both the public and private sectors.
